Extra Dry (2007)

Mike (Steve Iwashita), an aging assassin with silver hair slicked back into a small ponytail, is hired by a Dallas dance-club owner and gangster to kill a retired third-world general, apparently guilty of human-rights atrocities during the military dictatorship. The job is supposed to be a quick turnaround, allowing Mike to return in time for his brother's wedding. But after arriving in the city, where his local contacts (Will Cooke and Aileen Fitzgerald) seem inept and more than a little shady, Mike discovers he has been set up. This startlingly imaginative, superbly performed picture is full of pleasures large and small.
